This past weekend I really did not feel like doing much of
anything - but the one thing rainy days are perfect for is knitting.
Now to find the perfect buttons! I actually like the sweater without, but I have
a feeling that a row of buttons is really going to finish this project.
Gorgeous. I love it. I wish I had wrists that could hold up to knitting!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful color, perfect for Valentine's Day! I so need to learn to knit!
ReplyDeleteLove this sweater. The colour, over all shape and neckline really give it a smashing yesteryear feel.

Ooo, it's beautiful! Does the yarn have some metallic threads in it? I've been looking for something like that. Also wondering what stitches you used for the top part. Love the texture it gives. I also agree that a row of buttons will give it that little extra ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Siri! The yarn is KnitPicks "Stroll Glimmer" - it really is lovely to work with. The stitch is sort of moss stitch-like - the right side is all knit, and the reverse side mostly pearl with a few knit stitches thrown in which does give a nice texture. The sweater pattern was found here: http://subversivelesbiananarchicknitter.blogspot.com/2013/07/curvy-month-begins-sirdar-1741-c.html
DeleteBeautiful! I love the seam under the bust, it's going to be so flattering on!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! I'm going to have to try out that pattern.

So beautiful! And such a fine gauge! Buttons will definitely finish it. We're planning to finally catch the Bulgari exhibit at the De Young tomorrow -- just before it closes on Monday!
