I have been having so much fun with my knitting needles that
I just had to start another project.
My new book was the logical choice, and my choice of pattern is Jayne.
The instructions have some issues, which always makes me
grumpy. Part of the problem is that I
assume that the pattern has to be correct, and I drive myself crazy trying to
figure out where exactly I have gone wrong! Because how could the pattern be wrong?!
But I believe I have resolved the issues.
Once I managed to get past the frustration (which included frogging and beginning the lace pattern not once, but twice), this is
turning out to be a quick knit.
And I really do love knitting!
It's beautiful! Love the colour and the lace - and the moss-stitch in between the lace. Pretty much love all of it!
ReplyDeleteI love it! What gauge needle are you using? I've had a bit of carpal tunnel beginning so I'm taking a break from knitting for now. But I think I'm going to have to find this book you speak of. Beautiful yarn. I can't wait to see it once it's blocked.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nayla! I am using 2.25 mm needles for the sweater and 2.0 mm for the ribbing. The pattern suggests using 3.25 mm, but I have a tendency to knit loose, so the smaller needles work best for me.
DeleteHope your wrists feel better soon and you can start knitting again!
I just love this colour! So fresh, sweet, elegant and fun! Great start of your sweater - can't wait to see the finished product.

Lovely style and color! I love knitting as well, but socks and shawls are my obsession - a lot quicker!
ReplyDeleteHappy Knitting :)
Gorgeous, love the colour and the pattern. I have just managed to knit my first 'proper' garment, a vintage cardigan but I am so slow and need to do simple patterns!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, I will add this to my ever growing Ravelry list of favourites :)
