Knitting: The Perfect Cold Weather Activity

While I have not managed to finish anything this year (what a slacker!) I have been catching up on my knitting - which is fitting, considering the chilly weather.  A Chihuahua on the lap, a cup of tea, and knitting needles in hand is the perfect way to stay cozy.

I love KnitPicks Cyber Monday sale.  And this year I stocked up!  So my needles have been busy.

The green sweater is almost complete, there is just the pesky button issue to resolve, and a bit of finishing.

But for now, I would rather be knitting and purling, so I am working on the second sleeve of another unfinished project.

When sewing I have very little trouble sticking with one project, but knitting takes too long not to switch it up every once in while!

  1. I adore the colours of wool you stocked up on. I'm in a very jewel tone-ish mood at the moment and am swooning over your emerald, ruby and amethyst shades in particular.

Have oodles of fun with all your new skeins!

  2. Knitting can take a long time and having a couple of projects going at the same time is a great idea. Can't wait to see the finished knits.

  3. Oooh! I agree! I love knitting but now restrict my self to socks and shawls. Both are quick and easy - although not nearly as fast as sewing, but it is nice to sit down in the evening and knit away!

  4. I usually have more than one knitting project going on at once, too. For me, it will usually be one complicated project and one easy/mindless project that I can just do in front of the television.
